Thank you Strada!

Meet the newest member of the team, courtesy of Strada.  Carbon ’29er’ built up with Cannondale Lefty fork, shimano Deore XT groupset (with Hope brakes), B.O.R cranks and rims (expertly build by Darren of course!) along with U.S.E post bars and stem.  With a quick change to my preferred saddle she tips the scales at just under 9.4 Kg.  Looking forward to her first outing:-)

2012 Season

I’ve just added details of the main races I’ll be focussing on in 2012.  Check out the sliding tab on the left for the details.

They will, of course, be supplemented with plenty of ‘training’ events. I am particularly looking forward to this one!

Talent

Sometimes I wish I had a different skill set!

Great song too, the album (Every Kingdom) is well worth a listen!

Getting on with winter

Wow it’s already under a month until christmas!  The last few months really have flown by, which in a way is a good thing: I have had no major incidents to report.  Training is on track and plans for the race season are coming together nicely and I’m particularly looking forward to branching into the off-road side of the sport.

Alongside the domestic Xtri series I’m looking to head to a few of the Xterra european tour events, and potentially the world championships late in the year (if I am able to qualify).  I’m not leaving the road behind though and plan on getting to as many of the domestic middle distance events as I can as they are now quite nicely spread out over the season rather than bunched up as they were a few seasons ago!
